In addition to serving as the executive vice-president and co-owner of Schilling Media, Inc., a Native American media-relations corporation, Vincent Schilling is an enrolled member of the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe; an award-winning Native American author, producer and photojournalist; and a public speaker who has traveled throughout the United States and Canada.
Vincent is the host of Native Trailblazers, an online radio program for indigenous people that airs Fridays at seven PM (EST) on blogtalkradio.com/NativeTrailblazers. He has contributed hundreds of articles to national publications and websites, including Indian Country Today Media Network, Native Peoples magazine and Winds of Change. In 2011 Vincent won a bronze EXCEL Award for the Winds of Change article "Conflict on the Mountain." He was also presented a human rights award by the mayor of Virginia Beach, Will Sessoms Jr., for programs about Native American issues in the Hampton Roads region.
Vincent has shared his knowledge and wisdom with public, governmental and private entities, talking about diversity in schools and the workplace and overcoming the stereotypes of Native American people today. His work has introduced him to a multitude of fascinating people, from athletes to entertainers.
