Mr. Chung Lee is a retired restaurant cook who buys one lobster a month with his old age pension check, takes the lobster to the seashore and releases it into the sea. This book, a PEI favorite, was originally published in 1992 by Annick Press, but it has since gone out of print. New illustrations and fresh text will make it a favorite for a new generation of Islanders. This story won the L.M. Montgomery Children's Literature Award in 1990.

CM Magazine - January 13, 2012
"This timeless tale by PEI's Poet Laureate has long been a favourite in PEI...The vibrant new illustrations by artists Glen and Perri Craig are eye-catching and appealing...Dynamic and fluid, the illustrations create interest and add energy to the quiet story. This warm family story would be perfect for the social studies or religious education curriculum with its message of inter-generational relationships and inter-cultural perspectives, as well as respect for all living things. Highly Recommended."

"This gentle story gives a brief glimpse into two cultures, as well as insight into our dependency on the sea for nourishment...Each vivid, colourful illustration, many full-paged, contributes to the dimension of the story."
