Waubgeshig Rice

Waubgeshig Rice is a broadcast journalist and writer who lives in Sudbury, Ontario. He grew up in Wasauksing, an Anishinaabe community on the shores of Georgian Bay. He is the author of the short story collection, Midnight Sweatlodge and the novel Moon of the Crusted Snow. His articles, essays and columns have been published widely and he was host of Up North, the CBC radio show that discusses life in northern Ontario. In 2014 he received the Anishinabek Nation's Debwewin Citation for excellence in First Nation Storytelling. Legacy is his debut novel.
