Nhung N. Tran-Davies

Nhung N. Tran-Davies is a physician and writer from Calmar, Alberta. Her family came to Canada as refugees from Vietnam in 1979. She is a strong advocate for social justice through education. In 2013 she founded a registered charity, the Children of Vietnam Benevolent Foundation, and in 2014 was voted one of the 50 Most Influential Albertans. She has been a speaker at the UN's International Organization for Migration conference in Geneva as part of the I am a Migrant campaign to help reduce hate speech and promote tolerance. Aside from her passion for writing and medicine, she also loves traveling the world, reading poetry and just hanging out in the garden with her family.
